- Widths over 170 cm / 67 in – vertical seams
Our fabric rolls are 180 cm (approx. 71 in) wide. Curtains wider than 170 cm (approx. 67 in) will have one or more vertical seams:
– 170–340 cm / 67–134 in: 1 vertical seam
– 341–510 cm / 134–201 in: 2 vertical seams
When choosing stonewashed fabric, the maximum curtain width without a vertical seam is 140 cm (55 in)!
- Length adjustment for shrinkage
We sew the curtains slightly longer to account for fabric shrinkage. Each fabric is tested. If you want curtains pre-washed to your exact length, please select the “Extra Wash” option when ordering.
- Check measurements before sewing
Do not check. Without this option, we sew according to the measurements you provided on the website.
Check measurements. If you choose this option, we will contact you after the order is placed and confirm all width and length measurements. We will also ask you for additional measurements and a photo of the curtain rod so that the curtains fit your window perfectly.
If you choose the 1+H (curtain tape with header) option, you do not need to order this option separately.
- Curtain with Header or without Header?
You need a Header if:
- You will use rings and hooks (clips) and want the curtain to cover the hooks and rings.
- You want the curtain to cover the ceiling track.
- You want the curtain to cover hooks, clips, and gliders.
If you are not sure whether you need a Header, please choose Curtain without Header and leave a comment in your order asking us to contact you to confirm if a Header is necessary.
You can choose from four types of curtain tape. See gallery for photos.
Please note: Each tape creates a different pleat style and requires a specific gather ratio.
1- Universal gathering tape (85 mm / 3.3 in)
– Gather ratio: 1:1.8
– Material: 100% cotton
– Versatile, suitable for curtain rods and rails. This is the default option if no selection is made.
2 - Pencil pleat tape (75 mm / 3 in)
– Gather ratio: 1:1.5
– Repeat: 6 cm / 2.4 in
– Material: 100% polyester
– Creates soft, even pencil pleats — ideal for a classic look.
3 - Smock pleat tape (80 mm / 3.15 in)
– Gather ratio: 1:2
– Repeat: 6.5 cm / 2.6 in
– Material: 100% polyester
– Forms dense, elegant pleats for a decorative, voluminous look.
4 - Single pleat tape (50 mm / 2 in)
– Gather ratio: 1:1.5
– Repeat: 12 cm / 4.7 in
– Pleat spacing: 8 cm / 3.15 in
– Material: 100% polyester
– Creates clean, structured pleats for a modern finish.
We recommend ordering free fabric samples before purchasing. This will help you choose the right color, structure, and density. One free sample per product is available.

How to determine the width of the curtain?
The width of the curtain is determined by the length of the rod and the fullness ratio.
A fullness ratio of 1:1 means that the width of the curtain is equal to the length of the rod. In its extended form, the curtain will be absolutely flat without any pleats, which may not look very appealing. If you want to have light pleats on the extended curtain, we recommend a fullness ratio of 1:1.5. With this ratio, the width of the curtain will be 1.5 times greater than the length of your rod.
If you are ordering a curtain or a drape with tape, we recommend consulting with us.
How to determine the length of the curtain with a rod pocket or tab tops?
Please write the distance from the top of the curtain rod to the floor or to the desired bottom of the curtain. Remember to include 2 cm for a hygiene gap.
How to determine the length of the curtain with tape?
Please write the distance from the top of the curtain rod to the floor. There is no need to account for a hygienic gap. The curtain with tape will be raised 3 cm above the floor. If you wish to hang the curtain using rings and hidden clips, please write to us about it, and we will ask you for the necessary information and calculate the required length of the curtain ourselves.
How to determine the length of the curtain with tie tops?
The tie tops are not included in the total length of the curtain. The length of the curtain is the length of the fabric excluding the length of the tie tops. We make tie tops 30-40 cm for curtains. You can write the desired length of the tie tops in the comments section of the product.
If you have any questions about determining the length of the curtain, write to us and we will help you.
How to determine the length of the curtain considering fabric shrinkage?
Please always specify the required length of the curtain without considering fabric shrinkage. Our tailor will calculate the necessary length of the curtain considering the shrinkage. You will receive a curtain slightly longer, and after the first wash, the curtain will have the required length. We always try to sew exactly to the client's dimensions, but there can be a margin of error of about 2 cm, especially for larger items.
You can order an additional washing service (the price of the service is indicated on the product page). In this case, the tailor will sew the curtain, wash it, and hem the bottom edge of the curtain according to the size you specified. This will ensure the greatest accuracy in size.
We make the bottom edge of the curtain 10 cm. If the curtain shrinks during use, we will lengthen or shorten it for free. We bear all the transport costs in this case.
What does the Additional Washing service mean?
When ordering the Additional Washing service, the tailor will sew the curtain, wash it, and hem the bottom edge of the curtain according to the size you specified. This ensures the greatest accuracy in size. This is a paid service.
For Roman blinds, we always wash the fabric before starting to sew (this service is included in the sewing cost).
